James E. Deno Everett, Washington
James E. Deno is a graduate of the University of Washington and the University of Washington Law School, where he attained his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1965. He was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 1965, the United States Western District Court in 1967, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 1968 and the United States Supreme Court in 1989. He has served as an officer in the Snohomish County Bar Association and was elected President for the term 1988-1989. Mr Deno served as a Governor of the Washington State Bar Association for the Second Congressional District, and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. Mr Deno has been in private practice in Snohomish County since 1969. He served three and one half years as a King County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, serving in the Criminal and Civil Divisions before moving to Snohomish County. Mr. Deno's trial practice experience is broad, including prior defense representation for a national insurance company, diverse and extensive trial work in all areas of civil litigation, including plaintiff personal injury, business litigation, commercial litigation, and real estate litigation. Mr. Deno's areas of emphasis are personal injury and general trial practice, all aspects of business, corporate, partnership law, and real estate law. Mr. Deno's non-litigation practice has involved a variety of business and real estate matters, ranging from the formation of business organizations, the review and advice as to various business opportunities, partnerships, limited liability companies, franchising, leasing, and general business matters. His practice includes most aspects of real estate law, including the purchase and sale of real estate, leasing, real estate development, and issues of ownership. Mr. Deno represents a wide range of clients including a major local credit union, local diverse businesses, dealerships, manufacturing and construction companies. Mr. Deno enjoys the outdoors, including skiing, boating and motorcycling.
